Absolute Blue Assignment

This week Absolute Blue kicks off a series of holiday related themes with our own special twist, designed to entertain as well as frustrate, leaving us to ponder the true meaning of the season and how we can possibly further commercialize it. Perhaps Revlon presents Kwanzaa, a Santa NASCAR sponsorship or The Clapper ™ special edition Menorah. The possibilities are endless so we want to take this time to focus and bring you our own version of a holiday favorite. Your assignment: break the following down into basic components, compare and contrast imagery and allegory; metaphors or fives:

Good kid what’s-his-name went out
Thought his name was Steven
Grabbed his board and found the waves
Short and flat and even
Disappointed, passed right out
Made him late for school
Dreamed of killer 5 foot waves
Making winter cool…
